Dorsia is seeking an Engineering Manager, to drive the development and delivery of our Growth Engineering team. Working closely with our growth marketing and membership teams they will be responsible for delivering solutions to drive membership acquisition and engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and proven experience in managing engineering projects, teams, and delivering high-quality products. You will play a key role in driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
In this role, you will:
- Create and manage cross-platform (iOS, Android, React Native, PHP) product and engineering roadmaps that will enable the foundations of our responsible growth product strategy
- Influence key decisions and tradeoffs on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Work closely with our growth marketing team to create engaging campaigns to drive user acquisition and engagement
- You'll manage engineers across different locations, and collaborate with leadership to deliver the highest quality for our product
- Closely collaborate with PMs in order to translate product requirements into technical designs, which are then turned into engineering roadmaps
- Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and be a strong technical mentor
What we’re looking for:
- Strong computer science fundamentals and technical skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and represent the team's goals and projects with cross-functional business partners and leaders
- BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a leadership role within software engineering
- Expertise in our tech stack - we use PHP, Laravel, React Native, Typescript, MySQL, AWS
- Experience working in a fast paced, venture backed startup environment
- Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus
This role is located fully onsite in our Miami office.
