Job Description

Do you enjoy working with people, leadership, and technology? Are you excited about product development? We're now looking for a manager to lead a team in Lund that develops electronics for products in Axis' product portfolio.

Who is your future team?

Your future team will be the System Products development department, where we have overall responsibility for developing several exciting products from idea to volume production and launch. Examples of products we develop are body-worn cameras, video recorders, video decoders and audio/visual alerters. In our projects, employees from many different disciplines collaborate: mechanics, electronics, software, industrial design, production technology, industrialization, and more. Our department has a mix of junior and senior employees who work together and learn from each other in an open, supportive climate.

The current manager will move to a new role internally within Axis and we're now seeking a new manager for the team.

What you will do as an Engineering Manager

Your task will be to lead the team and support engineers grow and develop in their roles so they can perform at their best. The team consists of engineers with varying levels of experience and developing and recruiting personnel will be important tasks, as well as conducting appraisal talks and salary reviews.

The team collaborates closely with mechanics engineers, software engineers and other electronics teams. You'll become part of this collaboration and are expected to develop our ways of working, participate in discussions on technical strategies and contribute to long-term planning. You'll be part of the department's management team and report to the director of the department.

Who are you?

You're a natural leader passionate about developing employees and products. You have experience as a leader and have an engineering degree. You enjoy building and maintaining relationships and have experience in electronics development. You are also pragmatic, have a positive drive forward and master English in speech and writing.
