Summary Generated by Built In

NVIDIA is a leading artificial intelligence computing company, and we are paving the way with innovations in self-driving cars, machine learning, supercomputing, gaming and visualization. We give automakers, tier-1 suppliers, automotive research institutions, and start-ups the power and flexibility to develop and deploy breakthrough artificial intelligence systems for self-driving vehicles. Our unified computing architecture enables training deep neural networks in the data center, and then seamlessly runs them on NVIDIA DRIVE Platforms inside the vehicle.

The NvSci team within NVIDIA DRIVE Software plays a critical role in NVIDIA's expansion into the world of artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles. NvStreams is a high-performance inter-process and inter-chip communication library within NVIDIA DRIVE OS, providing the sophisticated, high-integrity data and sensor processing infrastructure that forms a core element of the NVIDIA DRIVE software platform. It enables developers to build software frameworks and distributed applications that fully leverage NVIDIA hardware acceleration, seamlessly port across NVIDIA-powered platforms  from data center to vehicle  and scale effortlessly from simple deployments to complex, multi-system architectures, all while maintaining strong isolation guarantees and real-time monitoring across the entire processing pipeline. We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our rapidly growing NvStreams team. If you are passionate about cutting-edge technology, committed to shaping the future of transportation, and driven by a strong focus on software quality, we invite you to join us and make a lasting impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and grow a team of highly skilled engineers.

  • Drive development of NvSci technology for next generation automotive and other Embedded applications.

  • Apply and invent processes to ensure high software quality and reliable schedules

  • Directly collaborate with other groups to align technology development with NVIDIA goals

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of overall relevant experience

  • 4+ years of management experience

  • Prior software development experience

  • Effective written and verbal communication regardless of audience or problem complexity

  • Organizational skills to lead projects and drive software development with a matrix team of globally distributed engineers

  • Experience with mentorship and developing engineering staff

  • Embedded Software development background

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Previous Agile experience, especially with distributed teams and matrix projects

  • Prior leadership of rapidly growing teams

  • Experience with industrial quality standards: ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434
