Position: Validation Engineer III
Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duties: Draw on experience with complex vehicle engineering projects and testing, skills of Matlab Simulink and Python and knowledge of automotive industry standards, functional safety standards to develop testing plans for vehicles. Work closely with the systems, safety, and development teams as a member of the validation organization. Develop comprehensive test procedures that fully verify and validate associated requirements. Develop HIL (Hardware in Loop) system test benches, verification and validation plans. Implement scripting for test case automation and analyze failure cases. Contribute to the development of the processes and tools necessary to execute the system HIL validation function, including requirements analysis, test case generation, test plan development, and test environment commissioning. Properly document all test procedures and ensure test result traceability to requirements and design artifacts. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related technology/engineering field plus 3 year of experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above.
