What You'll Be Doing

Responsible for Power and signal distribution design for automotive harnesses. Work cross functionally to gather details required for proper connections. Maintain processes necessary for rapid development.

Detail-oriented problem-solver, able to employ critical thinking and time management skills and can work effectively both independently and in teams. Work with people of diverse backgrounds and develop creative and innovative ways to improve processes.  

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related commensurate experience
  • Thorough understanding of Electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience developing wire harness assemblies including: 3D routing, flattening, 2D drawings, BOM development and BOM management.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience using 3D CAD tools (preferably SolidWorks or Catia V5).
  • Strong background developing 2D layouts in Autocad or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with automotive and consumer electronics connection systems. 
  • Candidate must be willing to take ownership of the harness development process from start to finish.  This includes design, release, coordination with internal and external fabrication teams, schedule management, vehicle installation support, and change management.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to proactively coordinate with other team members to ensure that designs meet or exceed expectations.
  • Familiarity with vehicle electronics and communication networks such as CAN, Ethernet, LIN, Serial.
  • Experience or familiarity with using Lab equipment such as  power supplies, oscilloscopes function generators and multimeters.
  • Support hardware prototype builds on benchtop and in-vehicle integration
  • Trouble-shooting electrical issues in the hardware prototype in vehicle

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings
  • Lab equipment experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes function generators and multimeters
  • Possess a strong work ethic to support the production team efforts and timing
  • Ability to multitask across various project activities and work with a global team
  • Experience with other vehicle communication networks (CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN)
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
