Role: Engineer– Cross-Functional (Windows & Linux)
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows Server and Linux environments across the organization.
- Perform operating system installation, configuration, upgrades, and end-to-end lifecycle management.
- Manage patching and updates using tools such as WSUS, SCCM, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible.
- Support directory services, including LDAP and SSSD configuration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL and Alma Linux.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and server administration.
- Proven expertise in Red Hat Satellite setup and managing patch deployments.
- Solid understanding of Linux file systems, permissions, user and group management, and package management.
- Experience with configuration management and automation using Ansible and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Scripting capabilities in Bash, YAML, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with patch management tools such as WSUS, SCCM, Ansible, and Red Hat Satellite.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and firewall configurations.
