Job Title : Engineer II - Quality Assurance
Location : Pune
Role Purpose
As Engineer II - Quality Assurance at Accelya, you will manage quality assurance for Accelya's airline software platform, designing test plans, implementing automation and driving quality practices across the software development lifecycle.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, integration and performance testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or RestAssured
• Use AI-powered testing platforms (Testim AI, Mabl, Applitools) for intelligent test generation, visual testing and self-healing automation
• Lead defect triage, perform root cause analysis and track defect resolution with engineering teams
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline quality gates, ensuring automated tests are integrated into deployment workflows
• Use generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) for test plan documentation, defect analysis and quality reporting
• Partner with developers on shift-left testing and TDD/BDD practices
Required Experience & Skills
• 3–5 years of QA experience with hands-on test automation experience
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or Rest Assured)
• Experience with CI/CD integration, API testing and performance testing
• Good programming skills in Python, Java or JavaScript
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; ISTQB Foundation or Advanced preferred
Preferred Experience & Skills
• Experience with AI-powered testing platforms (Testim AI, Mabl, Applitools) for intelligent test automation and visual testing
• Use of GitHub Copilot or Claude for AI-assisted test script development and BDD scenario creation
• Knowledge of airline software quality requirements and testing approaches for mission-critical aviation systems
• Familiarity with how leading airline technology providers including Amadeus and Sabre approach quality assurance for airline software
