Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for an Engineer 3 to join our team in Farmington Hills.
A Day in the Life:
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
- Test planning for body & interior safety regulatory testing (i.e. FMVSS, ECE)
- Test preparation for vehicle and part orders and creation of detailed test plans for both internal and external laboratory testing
- Test schedule management and coordination of testing with other departments both inside and outside of Nissan following the Nissan project development schedule
- Conduct and oversee testing in coordination with laboratory technicians on-site at our Farmington Hills R&D Test Facility. Position is primarily on-site.
- Test data analysis and root cause study
- Summarize and report test results to management, develop and propose design countermeasures, and create development and certification test reports.
Who We’re Looking for:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical, Electrical).
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
- Automotive engineering experience (Design & Release or Safety) and CAD skills preferred, but not mandatory.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience
- Travel required- approximately 4 trips/year
