**GENERAL SUMMARY:** Under the general direction of the Manager of Employee Safety, the Employee Safety Specialist is responsible for:
- Collecting, analyzing, organizing, and sharing safety data at assigned site(s) to identify trends and opportunities
- Developing and implementing interventions in partnership with site leadership and HR to address employee safety opportunities
- Collaborating with hospital leadership and medical staff on the development, measurement, and oversight of comprehensive employee safety programs and performance improvement initiatives
- Ensuring accountability and implementation of system-wide Employee Safety recommendations at local sites
- Demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively support and engage employees, leadership, physicians, and external stakeholders
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in employee safety, occupational safety, clinical safety, or quality improvement
- Knowledge of MIOSHA and OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience delivering educational programs and training initiatives
- Additional certifications in occupational safety or related disciplines
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in employee safety, occupational safety, clinical safety, or quality improvement
