**GENERAL SUMMARY:** Under the general direction of the Manager of Employee Safety, the Employee Safety Specialist is responsible for:
- Collecting, analyzing, and sharing safety data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Developing and implementing employee safety interventions in partnership with site leadership and HR
- Supporting the development and oversight of comprehensive employee safety programs, including performance improvement initiatives
- Ensuring system-wide Employee Safety recommendations are implemented at local sites with accountability to the CEO
- Communicating effectively with employees, leadership, physicians, and external stakeholders to advance safety initiatives
The successful candidate must be a collaborative team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
**Required:**
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience in employee safety, occupational safety, clinical safety, or quality assurance
- Demonstrated knowledge of MIOSHA and OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
**Preferred:**
- Experience developing and delivering educational programs and training initiatives
- Experience with safety data analysis and performance improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with system-wide safety program implementation and oversight
