Employee Experience Specialist will be instrumental in shaping and sustaining a positive employee experience and driving an inclusive, high-performing culture that aligns with our core values at Horace Mann. The role involves partnering with Employee Experience team and key stakeholders and organizational leaders to address talent and culture priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with VP, Manager, and Consultant to support HR strategies and provide sound deliverables on all related initiatives that drive employee engagement.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to existing programs, ensuring they deliver measurable value and resonate with employees across the organization.
- Support the development, distribution, analysis, and execution of employee engagement surveys (e.g., pulse surveys, annual engagement surveys) in partnership with the Consultant.
- Gains organizational insights and advocacy through leading committees, workgroups, and focus groups as to support the best employee experience.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to foster a culture of equity, belonging and inclusion, supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Track department metrics and key performance indicators (KPI’s) and leverage metrics to inform decision making and optimize processes.
- Takes ownership of the coordination and enhancement of volunteering and community engagement programs. Develops opportunities for HM employees to participate and build stronger community connections.
- Maintain up-to-date Job Aids and SharePoint pages for our program offerings. Ensures they are user friendly and accessible.
- Administers recognition and rewards programs that have cultural impact and value. Ensures HM offers opportunities to recognize and reward our valuable employees and foster a culture of recognition, growth and support. Evaluates programming engagement and effectiveness and updates as needed.
- Create content and presents on key programs, initiatives, trends, etc. across the organization in various formats as needed.
- Proactively manage and coordinates employee events across all office locations. Ensures they are impactful, well-executed, and align with company culture and values.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organization development, business, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in human resources, business or related field, preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in employee engagement, employee experience or related HR experience required.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Innovative and consultative approach to process improvements and strategy implementation.
- Creative problem- solving ability and with a focus on data informed decision-making.
- Ability to move multiple engagements forward while working at a detailed level.
- Hybrid work schedule with periodic travel to Springfield, IL office.
Salary Range
$58,300.00 - $91,600.00/annually
