Global Indirect Tax Manager 

This role is requiring relocation to our Adyen HQ in Amsterdam.

In this role you will be fully in the lead for our global indirect tax structure and ensure that it’s well set up for our continued growth and global expansion. You are proactive, practical and gain a lot of energy from improving, automating and scaling. You’ve affinity with data & technology and use it for coming up with solutions. 

You would report to the Global Lead of Indirect Tax & Tax Transformation, and be part of the Amsterdam tax team (head office), which is made up of colleagues in Indirect Tax, Wage Tax, Tax Data & Technology, Transformation,International Tax & Transfer Pricing. For this role, you will work a lot with the regional tax managers for EMEA, North America, LATAM & APAC.

You will

• Have a lot of freedom and fully own Adyen’s global indirect tax strategy / structure, incl. specific projects as part of Adyen’s indirect tax matters
• Review our current indirect tax set-up and ensure it’s well structured for our continued growth and global expansion
• Work closely with the regional tax managers in the regions on the global indirect tax strategy and in-depth indirect tax matters, if need be
• Look after the indirect tax aspects of our (new) products
• Implementing the outcome of your tax analysis
• Review and sign-off on tax returns
• Deal with tax audits, as and when they arise
• Always look for ways of optimizing processes and automating manual tasks 
• Interact with stakeholders across multiple functions and regions; including the wider finance organization, as well as Product managers, Country, Account Managers and tax authorities

Who you are

• You’re not afraid to think out-of-the box and are able to come up with creative solutions
• You have a mindset of constantly improving, automating and scaling
• You’re a go-getter, take ownership and are not afraid of doing the work yourself and do things outside your comfort zone
• You’ve affinity with data and indirect tax technology and use this to come up with solutions
• You have proven experience in an (international, EMEA and/or APAC) indirect tax role 
• You thrive in a rapidly-changing environment
• In-house experience, and an exposure to the digital economy/financial institutions is a plus
