Role Overview
Trek's Global Marketing Team is seeking an experienced Email & Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to help transform our customer database into one of our most powerful growth engines. This role will be responsible for developing and executing personalized, data-driven lifecycle marketing programs across multiple international markets, driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention, loyalty, and revenue.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in email marketing, CRM strategy, customer journey orchestration, marketing automation and lifecycle marketing to create meaningful customer experiences throughout the entire customer journey.
A key focus of this role will be supporting the global expansion of Trek Ride Club, Trek's rider engagement mobile app. As Trek Ride Club launches into new international markets, this person will play a critical role in driving app adoption, onboarding, engagement, retention, and long-term customer value through highly targeted lifecycle marketing campaigns and personalized customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Email, CRM & Lifecycle Marketing
- Lead the planning, creation, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns across multiple international markets.
- Develop and manage automated customer lifecycle programs, including welcome, onboarding, engagement, retention, re-engagement, loyalty, and post-purchase journeys.
- Build and execute customer journey strategies that deliver personalized experiences based on customer behavior, preferences, and lifecycle stage.
- Work closely with local market teams to align email and CRM strategies with regional goals, customer needs, and business priorities.
- Create campaigns that educate, inspire, and motivate riders while driving both e-commerce and retail sales.
- Build and maintain audience segmentation strategies using customer, behavioral, transactional, and engagement data.
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to improve subject lines, content, personalization, segmentation, automation flows, and conversion rates.
- Write, edit, and optimize compelling email copy that reflects Trek's brand voice and supports both local and global campaign objectives.
- Analyze campaign performance and develop actionable recommendations to improve engagement, retention, conversion, and customer lifetime value.
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert for Trek's email and marketing automation platform, Iterable, identifying opportunities to improve platform utilization and campaign effectiveness.
Trek Ride Club & Mobile App Marketing
- Lead lifecycle marketing initiatives supporting the continued growth and international expansion of Trek Ride Club.
- Develop and execute mobile app marketing strategies focused on user acquisition, activation, onboarding, engagement, retention, and re-engagement.
- Design and optimize onboarding journeys that encourage app adoption and long-term rider participation.
- Create targeted campaigns promoting app features, challenges, rewards, community initiatives, rider milestones, and engagement programs.
- Partner closely with product, analytics, and local market teams to increase app downloads, registrations, active users, and customer lifetime value.
- Develop coordinated customer experiences across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, website personalization, and other CRM touchpoints.
- Monitor and optimize key app marketing metrics including installs, activation rates, retention rates, engagement rates, Monthly Active Users (MAU), and user lifetime value.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experiences through experimentation, personalization, marketing automation, and behavioral targeting.
Collaboration & Strategic Planning
- Work closely with SEO, Paid Media, Social Media, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Brand Marketing teams to deliver a cohesive customer experience across channels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, improve customer engagement, and support broader marketing initiatives.
- Leverage learnings across markets to strengthen global campaign performance and drive best-practice adoption.
- Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, privacy regulations, and best practices in email marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and mobile app growth.

Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Email Marketing, CRM Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Customer Retention Marketing, or Marketing Automation.
- Proven experience developing and executing customer lifecycle strategies across multiple customer touchpoints.
- Experience managing automated customer journeys, segmentation strategies, and personalization programs.
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and re-engagement principles.
