ABOUT THE JOB:
Project and maintenance reliability of EIC systems within multiple chemical processing facilities. This position will work directly for the Operations Engineering Group and will also support the Project Engineers throughout their design process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, specify, program, start, validate, monitor, and troubleshoot EIC systems for new and existing facilities including electrical schematics, panel layout, and site acceptance testing (SAT).
- Ensure that processes, construction, installation, PLC/HMI programming, and operational requirements meet specifications, codes, and end-user expectations.
- Value engineering and cost estimating for all electrical systems within company facilities.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and across other engineering disciplines to design industrial processes, motor controls, instrumentation, and power systems that meet business requirements.
- Program, troubleshoot, and configure Allen Bradley (Rockwell) PLC/HMI control systems and other instrumentation equipment such as Emerson and Endress+Hauser.
- Develop, communicate, educate, and train hourly technicians and managers on processes, equipment, and standards as needed.
- Problem-solve process engineering issues and design systems to eliminate issues from both commissioning and maintenance perspectives.
- Successfully and cost-effectively manage multiple projects at any given time.
- Manage 3rd party contractors and firms from a project management standpoint on multiple projects.
- Manage other projects or portions of projects (including general coordination for mechanical, structural, or other related work), as assigned.
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing, and interpreting Ladder/Logic Diagrams, P&ID’s, and PFDs required.
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in a chemical processing environment preferred.
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience with Inductive Automation Ignition software preferred.
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience with AutoCAD preferred.
- RSLogix, ControlLogix, Factory Talk View, and PanelView experience preferred
- Ability to work non-traditional hours based on facility needs for commissioning and uploading work including weekends.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio required.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints/schematics required.
- Experience building panels and electrical troubleshooting required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability with root cause analysis required.
- Knowledge of various design and regulatory codes such as: OSHA, NFPA, NEC, UL, API, EPA, FDA required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, stand, and climb stairs for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to work in a warehouse facility where temperatures may range from 45 up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit; as well as work outside in all weather conditions.
- Able to perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Occasional turning, twisting, stooping, bending, and reaching.
TRAVEL:
Travel up to 20%
Expected Compensation: $115,000-$120,000/yearly. + 10% bonus eligibility

Skills Required
