Your role and responsibilities
You will be responsible Creates and modifies the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction, for assignments classified as low to medium complexity, using standard design concepts.
The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite
This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification and Smart Power Division in Nelamangala, Bangalore.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Designed and reviewed engineering solutions, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications in compliance with contractual, safety, and quality standards.
Coordinated with Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Testing, and Commissioning teams to ensure timely execution, installation, and on-time completion of projects.
Prepared and managed Bill of Materials (BOM) while ensuring cost optimization, contractual compliance, and elimination of Project Left-Over Material (PLOM).
Participated in design reviews, technical discussions, and customer meetings while contributing to risk assessments, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Ensured engineering deliverables complied with integrity, cybersecurity, safety, and quality requirements, while supporting variation requests, contract claims, and project closure activities.
Qualifications for the role:
Diploma / BE in Electrical Engineering with solid technical knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) panel systems and applications.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of practical experience in LV panel design, engineering, or project execution.
Proficient in preparing electrical schematics, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
Good understanding of LV switchgear components, power distribution systems, and panel manufacturing standards.
Ability to interpret customer specifications, technical documents, and project requirements effectively.
Effective coordination and communication skills to work closely with project, manufacturing, and testing teams for timely project execution.
Knowledge of quality, safety, and engineering standards with the ability to support design modifications and continuous improvement activities.
