The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating safety policies and procedures while leading and managing a team of EHS professionals at the Cepheid Solna site and eventually also across Cepheid EMEA.
This position is part of the EHS department and will be located in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Ensure compliance with relevant EHS regulations, codes, and standards by implementing robust compliance programs.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to the team, ensuring timely adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify non-compliance issues and develop corrective actions.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment.
- Oversee the incident management process, ensuring incidents are reported, investigated, and documented accurately and promptly.
- Continuously assess training needs and develop strategies to enhance the EHS competency of the workforce.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the EHS program.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- University Degree and 5+ years of experience in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety
- Proven experience of people and/or complex project management
- Fluent in Swedish & English, spoken & written
- Experience of working in a multi-site, global organization
- Proficient in data analysis
- Strong computer-based skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Power Point programs.
