About this opportunity:
Ensure full compliance of field operations resources with Ericsson HSE standards, local EHS standards & regulations by managing safety requirements for field personnel, tools, and vehicles. The role focuses on proactive risk prevention, audit readiness, and maintaining high safety performance across telecom deployment and maintenance activities.
What you will do:
- Monitor and ensure all field staff hold valid and up-to-date safety certifications (e.g., working at height, first aid, firefighting...).
- Maintain a centralized database of employee certifications and expiry dates.
- Coordinate safety training and certification renewals.
- Conduct periodic audits of field teams to verify compliance.
- Ensure all tools and equipment used in the field are certified, inspected, and safe for use.
- Maintain records of tool inspections, calibration, and certification.
- Coordinate periodic inspection and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Remove or report unsafe or non-compliant tools immediately.
- Ensure all assigned vehicles for mentors & supervisors meet safety standards and legal requirements.
- Track vehicle documentation (registration, insurance, inspection certificates).
- Monitor driver compliance (valid driving licenses, defensive driving training).
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections & audits and driver performance.
- Perform regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance issues.
- Issue reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Monitor vehicles through GPS tracking systems.
- Ensure drivers follow approved routes and safe driving behavior.
- Track speed violations, harsh driving, and unauthorized usage.
- Ensure safe arrival of resources to sites.
- Generate reports on vehicle movements and compliance.
- Support incidents, accidents and near misses' investigations.
- Identify root cause and provide proper analysis.
- Ensure proper reporting of accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Track closure of all corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations and company EHS policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records.
- Prepare EHS reports and dashboards for management review.
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for field teams.
- Promote safety culture and awareness across operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance.
The skills you bring:
- 2-5 years of experience in EHS, preferably in field operations (telecom, construction, or similar industries).
- Experience managing compliance for personnel, tools, and vehicles.
- EHS practical experience and strong knowledge (Telecom experience is advantage).
- Computer literate.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Certified EHS qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
- Additional certifications (ISO 45001 Lead Auditor is a plus)
- Accredited Qualification/Certification e.g. wireman's license; computer programming/networking.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in GSM Field, EHS practice, ...
- The position requires the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
