Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Dubai so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.
This is a 12-month contract, working full time hours.
About the role
An Education Engagement Advocate at Canva is a key member of our team that is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with schools, Academies, Local Government and Ministries of Education throughout their region. They are passionate about education and have a deep understanding of the needs of educators.
Our Advocates work closely with school leaders to help them understand the benefits of using Canva's educational tools and resources. They provide guidance and support to educators as they integrate Canva into their curriculums and lesson plans, and they offer ongoing training to ensure that educators are getting the most out of our platform.
Above all, our District Engagement Advocates are committed to making a difference in the lives of students and how they learn the future-focused skills they will need to thrive in the 21st century. They are dedicated to helping educators create engaging and dynamic learning experiences that inspire and motivate students to succeed.
What you’d be doing
Own the school onboarding lifecycle. You'll own strategy, prospecting, planning, onboarding, execution, and results within identified districts.
Foster relationships with regional administration. You'll be responsible for managing the relationships with the key stakeholders and decision-makers at districts and getting them what they need, be it technical documentation and support, onboarding help, teacher development resources, Canva tips and tricks, and strategic guidance
Serve as an ambassador of Canva Education with teachers and educators.
Provide Value to Customers and to Canva. You'll run a healthy and predictable business that delivers a jointly agreed customer transformation strategy focused on educational outcomes within customers.
Understand the Canva user lifecycle. You'll work closely with Canva’s Education Community team to establish close relationships with our passionate community of educators and learners to know first-hand what they need to become successful Canva users.
Identify trends and usage patterns. You'll utilise data analysis to shape your strategic approach to sales and account management, and to note emerging trends to share with Canva’s Sales & Success, Product, and Marketing teams.
Drive retention and engagement. You'll continuously test, learn, and iterate on our lifecycle strategy at our identified districts to build meaningful and impactful relationships.
Seek out new customers: You'll identify high-value districts that have not yet signed with Canva, source strategic leads, and close deals to bring Canva to those districts. (bullet point for sales segment now)
You're probably a match if
- You have a strong understanding of the K-12 Education market, understanding of classroom productivity solutions with an ability to communicate with Instructional Technology Specialists and teachers how Canva can improve student learning outcomes through design and collaboration.
- You possess experience in selling and/or adoption of education software solutions combined with real-world teaching and instructional technology design
- You have a deep understanding of how schools roll-out new technology in system-wide deployments
- You have excellent collaboration skills, including being comfortable collaborating remotely and working with people outside your direct team
- You demonstrate good business planning skills, with an ability to move from planning to implementation and complete projects to deliver high impact.
- You have experience in community management and understanding of social media best practices and tactics for education audiences
