About the role
AGL has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Balance of Plant (eBOP) Specialist (12-Month Max Term) to join our Renewables team, helping to maintain and optimise the performance of one of Australia's largest wind generation assets.
Location: Based on-site at either our Macarthur Wind Farm or Oaklands Hill Wind Farm sites.
This is a hands-on role within a high-performing operational team where safety, reliability and technical excellence are at the heart of everything we do. You'll work alongside site technicians, HV operators and contractors to support the ongoing performance of critical wind farm infrastructure while contributing to the safe delivery of maintenance and outage activities.
As our eBOP technician, you'll provide technical guidance across key electrical systems including substations and reactive plant, while coordinating maintenance programs, supporting outage execution and helping ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing
Leading the planning and execution of maintenance, inspections and repairs across wind farm electrical infrastructure
Providing field leadership, coordination and on-the-job training for technicians and contractors
Supporting planning and delivery of outages and other complex electrical works
Preparing and performing electrical isolations, switching operations and access authorities
Developing work management documentation including permits, LOTO processes and work instructions
Supervising contractors and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Assisting with troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical faults across site infrastructure
Working with network service providers to coordinate switching activities
Promoting strong safety outcomes through risk management, safety leadership and adherence to safe access rules
What you'll bring
An electrical trade qualification and/or experience working in electrical infrastructure, power generation or related industries
Experience working with substations, reactive plant or other high-voltage electrical systems
Knowledge of isolation, switching and LOTO procedures
Experience supporting maintenance activities, outages or complex electrical projects
Exposure to wind farms, renewable energy or power generation assets will be highly regarded
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
A valid driver's licence and willingness to work in a site-based role
