About this opportunity:
Ericsson is leading the next wave of 5G and cloud-native innovation with Tier-1 operators and enterprises around the world. We are looking for an end-to-end Solution Architect to design and lead complex 4G/5G Core and cloud-native transformations. You will own the architecture from concept to launch, ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable networks that serve millions of users. This is a senior, customer-facing role that combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership.
What you will do:
- Lead end-to-end architecture across 4G EPC, 5G SA Core, subscriber data management, and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead team of Solution Architects from different product areas, delegate efficiently, foster teamwork and collaboration to maximize productivity.
- Create and own high-level and low-level designs, migration and rollback plans, and operational models.
- Ensure architectural consistency and alignment across CNFs and the underlying cloud platforms.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer CTO, architecture, and operations teams[MN1.1][AS1.2], by partnering with BA (PDU & Solution Area)
- Run architecture and change review forums with customer and Ericsson teams (design boards, CABs).
- Design and lead cloud-native transformations on Ericsson CNIS across multi-site deployments.
- Assess technical risks for major network and cloud changes and define mitigation plans.
- Plan and support traffic migrations, software upgrades, disaster recovery, and failover with minimal customer impact.
- Define Kubernetes and cloud platform standards for resiliency, security, networking, storage, and observability.
- Drive automation, CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code for Core and Cloud environments.
- Work with OMC, OSS, CNS, and NOC teams to improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance management.
- Partner with Ericsson business, solution, and delivery teams on solution scoping, SoWs, and customer proposals.
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field, with 12+ years in Core/Cloud and 5+ years in technical leadership roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Ericsson 5G SA Core (e.g. AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, UDM, AUSF, NRF, NEF, CHF), 4G EPC (e.g. MME, SGW, PGW, PCRF, HSS)
- Excellent communication skills with sufficient technical depth and ability to win customer trust.[MN3.1]
- Ability to drive technical deep dives with competing technical directions/options, involving cross-domain concerns and derive the best solution outcome that is aligned with key
- stakeholders by resolving conflicts where needed and also ultimately secure customer buy-in
- Solid knowledge of Ericsson CNIS and NFVi/cloud-native platforms, including Kubernetes, containers, and CNFs.
- Solid knowledge of interworking with IMS, VoLTE/VoNR, and Data management. Good understanding of call flows.
- Good troubleshooting skills at solution level in multi-node environment.
- Good understanding of IP networking, routing, security, and telecom protocols (e.g. Diameter, HTTP/2/SBI, DNS, load balancing).
- Practical experience with automation and CI/CD toolchains (e.g. Ansible, Helm, Terraform, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
- Proven track record leading complex Core and Cloud transformation programs in Tier-1 operator environments.
- Experience with public or hybrid cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) and their networking and security services.
- Cloud, Kubernetes, or telecom certifications (e.g. CKA, AWS, Azure).
- Experience in services scoping, effort estimation, and creation of SoWs and service descriptions.

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
• Ontario: $127,000 - $166,950 CAD
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage at two-times annual base pay at no cost, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, plus at least 3personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
