About this opportunity:
As an End-to-End Solution Architect, you will own the technical solution view across Packet Core, telco cloud, and adjacent Core Network domains. You will translate customer business and technology needs into secure, scalable, commercially viable, and deliverable end-to-end solutions.
You will operate at the intersection of customer strategy, technology, commercial development, and delivery. You will lead architecture and solution discussions with customers, guide multidisciplinary solution teams, shape technical proposals, and ensure that the proposed solution can be successfully implemented, integrated, accepted, operated, and evolved through its lifecycle. Lead the design stages in the delivery of critical program and outline both high and low level design.
The role requires both breadth and depth: depth in Packet Core and cloud-native architectures, together with the ability to connect these domains with IMS and Communication Services, BSS/OSS, orchestration, automation, transport, security, and operational processes.
Join our Team
What you will do:
Lead customer-facing solution ownership
  • Engage customer stakeholders to understand business drivers, network strategy, pain points, and transformation priorities, translating these into a clear solution vision, technical scope, and value proposition.
  • Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and solution discussions, clearly communicating architectural choices, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Act as the senior technical point of contact throughout presales and solution shaping, ensuring alignment across the customer, Ericsson teams, partners, and suppliers.

Own the end-to-end architecture
  • Define the end-to-end architecture for Core Network solutions, including solution concepts, high- and low-level designs, interfaces, deployment models, data flows, and non-functional requirements.
  • Evaluate architectural options and recommend solutions that balance customer value, technical feasibility, performance, resilience, security, operational simplicity, and cost.
  • Collaborate with architects, Product Management, R&D, Delivery, Operations, and partners to maximize reuse and avoid unnecessary complexity.

Drive Packet Core and cloud-native solution design
  • Shape solutions across 4G EPC, 5G Core, dual-mode 5G Core, Packet Core, interworking, mobility, policy, subscriber data, signaling, and user-plane functions.
  • Design cloud-native solutions using microservices, containers, Kubernetes, CNFs/VNFs, CaaS, automation, orchestration, and lifecycle management across central, regional, edge, and distributed cloud environments.
  • Ensure solutions address infrastructure, applications, security, observability, resilience, scaling, upgrades, rollback, and operational readiness as an integrated system.

Shape commercially viable proposals
  • Work as part of the Core 3 and sales teams to translate customer needs into technically robust and commercially viable solutions and proposals.
  • Develop solution scope, technical value propositions, differentiators, assumptions, risks, acceptance criteria, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with Ericsson portfolio capabilities, delivery models, commercial commitments, and customer expectations.

Enable successful delivery and lifecycle evolution
  • Support the transition from presales through design, integration, deployment, acceptance, and operations, providing architectural guidance and technical governance throughout.
  • Manage key architectural risks and ensure technical decisions remain aligned with customer requirements.
  • Support upgrades, migrations, modernization, capacity growth, and automation while capturing lessons learned and providing feedback to R&D and portfolio teams.
