The Senior Developer will code and test application programs, provide application support to internal customers and update complex system configuration artifacts. The Senior Developer will also produce business requirements, functional and technical specifications, test plans and implementation plans. The Senior Developer will participate and assist in system technical designs and software evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:

A deep understanding and working knowledge of the IT Organization and the applications that they support.

Understand the Personal Lines Platform business objectives and maintain strong working relationship with business analysts, business partners and stakeholders that they support.

Lead and mentor team members in support of deliverables, support and cross training while incorporating industry best practices/standards.

May lead small to medium sized efforts and escalates as appropriate to senior management

Support continuous improvement by gathering and incorporating successes and lessons learned into best practices and future enhancements.

Develop situational analysis and decision making abilities.

Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders of all types across the organization

Conducts themselves with transparency and learns to manage own development.

Key Requirements:
-
5+ years advanced application programming experience
-
In depth Experience in Duck Creek Policy admin system, Author, Page builder, with a comprehensive understanding of underwriting, billing, rating, insurance rules, and forms; Experience with Duck Creek policy platform version 8.x is a plus.

Experience with advanced programming languages including .Net C#, XML/Xpath, SQL and object-oriented design.

Proven understanding of micro-services-oriented architecture and APIs

Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems

Relational dB experience (like MS-SQL, Oracle, MySQL)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Preferred experience:

Hands on experience working with development in Azure

3+ years Java Spring Boot or experience building applications using Angular
-
Agile development experience (SCRUM, SAFe...)

Experience with DevOps pipeline CI/CD tools (Circle, Jenkins, etc)
