The Documentation Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of quality and product documentation across Canrig operations. This position serves as a central resource for compiling product manuals, data books, quality records, and engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, internal quality standards, and document control processes while supporting successful project execution and regulatory compliance



Responsibilities

Documentation Management & Records Control

Primary Skills: Document Control • Records Management • Data Entry • Information Organization

  • Maintain electronic and physical quality records, including document filing, scanning, indexing, retrieval, and archiving.

  • Manage quality control documentation and ensure records are maintained in accordance with company and customer requirements.

  • Upload, organize, and maintain project documentation within Canrig's Document Management System.

  • Ensure document accuracy, completeness, version control, and accessibility across multiple business units.

Product Manuals & Data Book Development
Primary Skills: Technical Documentation • Adobe Pro • Quality Documentation • Formatting & Publishing

  • Compile, create, format, and distribute product manuals and data books for manufactured and repaired equipment.

  • Assemble documentation packages using quality records, engineering drawings, certifications, test reports, and supporting technical information.

  • Utilize Adobe Pro and related software tools to prepare professional customer-facing documentation packages.

  • Coordinate documentation deliverables to support project milestones and customer requirements


Quality Systems & Compliance Support
Primary Skills: Quality Management Systems • Document Review • Regulatory Compliance • ISO/API Awareness

  • Review Quality Control documents, Material Test Reports, Mill Reports, and related quality documentation for completeness and accuracy.

  • Support compliance with ISO 9001, API Q1, and internal Quality Management System requirements.

  • Maintain controlled documentation supporting audits, inspections, certification activities, and customer reviews.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of quality-related reports and documentation process

 

Data Analysis & Reporting

Primary Skills: Data Analysis • Reporting • Database Management • Quality Metrics

  • Enter and maintain information within quality databases and tracking systems.

  • Generate quality reports and perform analysis of quality-related data.

  • Monitor documentation metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives through accurate reporting.

  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy across multiple information systems.

 

Cross-Functional Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and other departments to gather required project documentation.

  • Access engineering databases to retrieve and print drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Support internal and external customers by distributing documentation packages and responding to documentation requests.

  • Provide administrative support to the Quality Department as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 3–5 years of experience in quality documentation, document control, quality administration, or a related field.

  • Experience maintaining quality records and documentation systems.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Pro and related software used to create data books and product manuals.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Experience reviewing Quality Control documentation, Material Test Reports, Mill Reports, and related quality records.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Valid Driver's License

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the Oil & Gas, manufacturing, or heavy industrial industry.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and API Q1 quality management standards.

  • Experience supporting Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation and records control processes.

  • Experience working with engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Experience with enterprise document management systems.

  • Associate degree or additional technical training in Quality, Business Administration, or a related field.
