About the Role
The Division Finance Officer plays a key leadership role in driving the financial performance of Chubb’s ANZ Commercial and Consumer P&C businesses. You’ll partner closely with business and finance leaders to provide clear insight, strong commercial challenge, and strategic support that helps shape decisions, improve performance, and support growth.
This is a highly visible role with broad responsibility across financial planning, analysis, reporting, compliance, and business partnering. You’ll also lead a small team and help drive smarter, more efficient ways of working through process improvement, automation, and BI-enabled analytics.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with the business: Work day to day with product line leaders and finance stakeholders across Commercial and Consumer lines, translating financial information into clear insights, recommendations, and performance trends for the country leadership team.
- Shape financial strategy: Support the development and execution of business strategies aligned to financial goals, including business cases for new distribution deals and growth initiatives.
- Lead planning and analysis: Own budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and KPI monitoring, delivering timely, high-quality FP&A outputs and actionable commentary.
- Build better analytics: Design and deliver analytical tools and BI reporting that improve visibility of performance across P&L categories and business cohorts.
- Ensure strong compliance: Partner with FP&A, Controllership, and Actuarial teams to maintain compliance with local and US GAAP, as well as Chubb policies and procedures.
- Lead and develop others: Manage and support a small team of financial analysts, including coaching, training, and performance management.
- Drive improvement and automation: Help transform financial reporting and performance management processes through digital tools and smarter ways of working.
- Promote self-service insights: Work with FP&A and business leaders to build and embed BI reporting that supports better decision-making and greater curiosity around performance.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years’ experience in finance, ideally within the insurance industry
- Strong background in financial planning, analysis, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and controls
- Solid understanding of insurance products, underwriting processes, and industry trends
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial management tools
- Experience across Commercial and Consumer lines is highly desirable
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in a matrix environment
- Strategic thinking, leadership capability, and commercial judgement
