About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Technology Delivery & Operations, India, the Director will lead the Technology Delivery and Technology Operations organization of an assigned portfolio within the MassMutual Global Capability Center in Hyderabad. The role is responsible for the end-to-end leadership of technology delivery, engineering and operational functions, ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives, operational excellence, platform stability, risk management and talent development.

Working closely with global business and technology leaders, the Director will drive technology modernization, delivery governance and stakeholder outcomes while providing leadership for a large, multidisciplinary organization supporting business-critical platforms and services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead Technology Delivery and Technology Operations, with end-to-end accountability for program execution, production operations, service reliability and organizational outcomes.
• Provide leadership for an organization of around 300 employees, with direct reports at Senior Manager and Manager levels.
• Partner with Technology Delivery Leaders, business stakeholders and senior leadership in the United States and other global locations.
• Define and execute strategic roadmaps aligned with enterprise priorities and measurable business outcomes.
• Plan and deliver people, process, technology, risk, delivery excellence and operational excellence goals.
• Ensure strategic programs, transformation initiatives and technology services are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
• Establish governance across scope, schedule, financials, resources, risks, dependencies, issues and decisions.
• Oversee business-critical applications and platforms, ensuring they are secure, stable, resilient, scalable and supported through sustainable operating models.
• Drive platform modernization, cloud adoption, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, application rationalization and technical-debt reduction.
• Establish and track qualitative and quantitative metrics for delivery performance, operational stability, security, quality, productivity and stakeholder outcomes.
• Identify Key Risk Indicators, conduct risk reviews and ensure mitigation of delivery, operational, security and regulatory risks.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for major delivery, production, workforce and stakeholder matters.
• Drive workforce planning, hiring, succession management, skill development and leadership-pipeline creation.
• Coach and develop Senior Managers, Managers and technical leaders while fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Build an inclusive, high-performing organization aligned with the company’s core values of customer focus, integrity, valuing people, collaboration and achieving results.
• Manage relationships with internal teams, global stakeholders, strategic partners and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to optimize cost and capacity, improve productivity and strengthen India-based end-to-end ownership.

Experience & Skills:

• 20+ years of progressive technology experience, including approximately 15+ years in Technology Delivery, Technology Operations or Program Management.
• Demonstrated experience leading large, complex and geographically distributed technology portfolios and organizations.
• Proven people-leadership experience managing Senior Managers, Managers and multidisciplinary technology teams.
• Experience delivering large data, digital-transformation, platform-modernization or application-migration programs.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, ETL, Business Intelligence, application development, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, production support and IT service-management practices.
• Strong program management capabilities across planning, financials, risk, dependencies, stakeholder management and executive reporting.
• Experience establishing delivery governance, operational KPIs, risk indicators and leadership reporting.
• Good understanding of the BFSI domain, including applicable security, regulatory, risk and audit expectations.
• Experience in Finance and Investment Management domains
• Strong global stakeholder-management, relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively and deliver outcomes under pressure.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, sound judgement, adaptability and commitment to organizational success.
• Strong ability to lead change, resolve complex issues and build a positive, inclusive and high-performance culture.
