Role
We are seeking a strategic Director to lead Test & Learn platform sales across the Asia Pacific (AP) region. This executive-level role is responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping sales strategy, and strengthening client relationships across financial institutions and retail & commerce segments.
Key responsibilities include:
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to accelerate Test & Learn adoption across the AP region, securing multimillion-dollar, multi-year agreements.
• Business Development: Proactively identify, nurture, and convert leads into active opportunities, transforming the sales pipeline from early-stage interest to closed deals.
• Partnership & Ecosystem Expansion: Build and expand strategic partnerships with system integrators (SIs), value-added resellers (VARs), OEMs, and referral partners to drive incremental revenue and market penetration.
• Integrated Solution Selling: Lead efforts to bundle Test & Learn with Mastercard’s broader suite of services, including SessionM, Managed Services, SpendingPulse, and Security Solutions.
• Executive Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, articulating the value of Mastercard’s Services solutions in boardroom discussions and executive-level presentations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Market Development team and Mastercard Core to align Test & Learn sales efforts with Mastercard’s broader business strategy, fostering a ‘One Mastercard’ approach.
• Sales Enablement & Execution: Partner with Services Sales (SBL) teams to drive sales execution, optimize pipeline management, and ensure seamless deal progression.
All About You
• Bilingual Expertise: Native or fluent proficiency in Chinese and English, enabling seamless engagement across diverse client environments.
• Sales Leadership: 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or strategic account management within Financial Services, Retail, QSRs, or related sectors.
• Deep Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Mastercard’s Services solutions and the broader financial services and retail ecosystem, with a proven ability to position value-driven, data-centric solutions.
• Executive Relationship Management: Established network of senior executives across the AP region, with a track record of influencing C-level decision-makers.
• Enterprise Solution Sales: Demonstrated success in selling SaaS, analytics, or data-driven solutions with experience navigating long sales cycles (~12 months) and complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Strategic Thinking & Execution: Ability to translate business objectives into actionable sales plans, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
• Collaboration & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Sales Acumen & Negotiation Skills: Strong deal-making expertise with experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing high-value contracts. Salesforce (SFDC) proficiency is a plus.
