What does a successful "Director of Product" do at Fiserv?

  • A successful Director of Product, APAC at Fiserv is responsible for developing and implementing issuing product strategies, leading the product development lifecycle, engaging with stakeholders, and driving product innovation through collaboration and industry insights.
  • Director of Product collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and clients to anticipate and address emerging threats.
  • This role involves leading the end-to-end product development lifecycle modernizing and enhancing products to benefit our extensive customer base of financial institutions and businesses worldwide.
  • The Director of Product acts as a primary liaison between stakeholders, drives product innovation, and ensures strategic alignment across all teams involved.

What will you do:

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive issuing product strategy
  • Lead modernization initiatives to enhance existing solutions and meet evolving market needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery.
  • Collaborate with various teams to design and implement effective product solutions.
  • Act as the primary communicator between cross-functional teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment on major decisions and strategies.
  • Engage with clients, gather feedback, and apply insights to improve product offerings.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging threats, and technological advancements.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate new, value-added features such as cloud-native solutions and AI.
  • Work with external partners, vendors, and industry organizations to share insights and best practices.

What You Will Need to Know:

  • At least 15 years of experience in a product leadership role within the Payments and e-commerce domain.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in the payments industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile framework development, SDLC, sprint management, user stories, epics, wireframes, and demos.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate cross-functional teams toward common goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in handling dependencies, risks, and issues requiring resolution.

What would be great to have:

  • Experience in developing and executing product strategy for payment and financial systems.
  • Strong collaborator capable of working cross-organizationally with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented individual with a knack for innovation and problem-solving.
  • Experience in building business cases, managing P&L, pricing, and responding to RFI/RFPs.
  • Proven track record in driving client-facing discussions and providing insights on industry trends.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies including cloud-native solutions and AI.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing fraud and risk management strategies aligned with business and market needs.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
