The Director of Next-Gen Measurement Product is the architect of our future measurement ecosystem. This role is responsible for incubating and scaling high-impact products at the complex intersection of audience data, contextual signals, identity, and measurement.
This is a true 0-to-1 innovation role. You will guide cross-functional teams to discover, validate, and launch differentiated solutions that will define the future of Streaming, Advertising, Commerce, and Social Media measurement. The Director will operate at the cutting edge of the ad-tech landscape, transforming unique data assets into foundational tools that agencies, brands, and publishers rely on to navigate a privacy-first world.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Product Strategy & Innovation
• Define and own the multi-year product strategy for Nielsen's next-generation measurement ecosystem
• Identify whitespace and drive new monetization opportunities across flagship portfolios, including N1 Ads, Outcomes, Ad Intel, and N1C
• Partner across Nielsen's broader product organization to successfully productize, integrate, and commercialize unique data assets
Customer Discovery & Market Fit
• Lead structured, rigorous customer discovery initiatives directly with key agencies, brands, publishers, and platform partners
• Validate product-market fit through targeted alpha/beta programs and rapid, signal-based experimentation
• Act as the definitive voice of the market, translating complex client needs into clear prioritization and roadmap decisions
Execution & Incubation Leadership
• Drive rapid product incubation, validation, and scaling from initial MVP to full enterprise deployment
• Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, data science, UX, commercial, and external partner teams
• Set clear OKRs and maintain outcome-based accountability throughout the product development lifecycle
Go-to-Market & Ecosystem Strategy
• Collaborate with GTM, partnerships, and commercial teams to design comprehensive pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies
• Engage and negotiate with strategic ecosystem partners—including DSPs, SSPs, clean room platforms, and ID providers—to expand product reach and market adoption
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
• Innovation Pipeline Velocity: Time-to-market from rapid incubation and MVP validation to scaled commercial deployment
• Product-Market Fit (PMF): Conversion rate of alpha/beta pilot partners into long-term commercial contracts
• Revenue & Whitespace Growth: Incremental revenue generated from newly productized data assets and whitespace initiatives across the N1 and Outcomes portfolios
QualificationsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
• 12–15 years in product management, with a proven track record of owning complex, high-stakes product portfolios
• Demonstrated experience launching 0-to-1 products, from rapid incubation through to scaled commercial adoption
• Strong history of cross-functional influence and stakeholder management within highly matrixed, global organizations
Technical & Domain Knowledge
• Deep domain expertise in Advertising OR Commerce (funnel optimization, attribution) OR Streaming (content strategy, engagement growth), OR Social ecosystems — OR strong technical background in Data Science/ML products involving classification systems, intent modeling, and entity detection
• Strong analytical and technical fluency—highly comfortable working with APIs, complex data graphs, and advanced measurement frameworks
• Working knowledge of modern data infrastructure, which may include ad-tech platforms (DSPs, SSPs), identity providers, or privacy-safe clean room environments
Leadership & Judgment
• Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action, experimentation, and deep customer empathy
