Yondr creates phone-free spaces.
The Role

Yondr creates phone-free spaces for artists, educators, organizations and individuals around the world. Our mission is to create spaces where genuine connection, focus, and creativity can flourish in the absence of technology.

Yondr’s business segments span numerous industries, primarily across education and live events. Yondr supports schools through cell phone-free programs. Our education programs facilitate the successful implementation of phone-free school environments by providing administrators and teachers with education, training, and development resources, along with all necessary equipment. In addition, Yondr supports top artists in music and comedy by creating phone-free shows, allowing performers and audience members to enjoy live performances without the distraction of phones.

The Director of Procurement & Sourcing is a critical leadership role that bridges operations, product development, and marketing. Reporting to the COO, this individual will lead sourcing and procurement for materials, packaging, finished goods, and vendor relationships across all Yondr business segments.

This role owns both tactical execution and strategic vendor management — from negotiating contracts and managing costs to ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and customs/import oversight. They will partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to bring new products to life and to ensure operational excellence at every stage of the sourcing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement Leadership

  • Build and maintain a reliable vendor network spanning manufacturing partners, packaging suppliers, and third-party providers

  • Lead supplier selection, onboarding, contract execution, and performance evaluation

  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, service-level agreements (SLAs), and terms to optimize costs and mitigate risk

  • Partner with Product and Marketing to support early-stage product development with material and sample sourcing

  • Serve as the internal point person for packaging and production R&D initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Product to support new product introductions, prototypes, and sample programs

  • Partner with Supply Chain to ensure alignment of production timelines, logistics, and vendor capabilities

  • Coordinate with Marketing to plan for and source promotional items, event materials, and brand-aligned packaging solutions

  • Partner with Finance to support sourcing and negotiations of vendor contracts for other goods and services, such as IT/software services, laptops, office supplies, etc.

Operations & Compliance
  • Partner with Supply Chain on import/export documentation, customs compliance, and tariff classification strategies

  • Monitor global trade regulations and duties to proactively mitigate landed cost risks

  • Ensure suppliers meet internal and external quality, regulatory, and environmental standards

  • Manage vendor scorecards and periodic reviews to enforce compliance with contracts and SLAs

Process Development & Reporting
  • Build scalable sourcing and procurement processes, including PO workflows and tracking systems

  • Implement reporting and KPI dashboards to monitor supplier performance, cost savings, and risk areas

  • Partner with Finance to support budgeting, cost forecasting, and inventory optimization

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles — with direct experience managing global suppliers and sourcing multiple types of raw materials

  • Strong background in sourcing materials for product development — particularly textiles, packaging, or electronics

  • Proven ability to work in collaborative environment as an effective partner across teams

  • Proven success negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and reducing costs without compromising quality

  • Understanding of international trade, tariffs, and customs regulations

  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to clearly summarise financial impacts of sourcing options and contract terms.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work across departments and geographies

  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with a hands-on, solutions-first approach

Preferred Experience
  • Consumer product goods (CPG), fashion/apparel, or packaging sourcing experience

  • Familiarity with 3PL’s, Customs regulations, ERP, POs, and sourcing tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Coupa)

  • Knowledge of sustainability best practices in sourcing and packaging

  • Strong Excel and reporting skills; data-driven mindset
