As DON, you'll take an active leadership role in the clinical success of the facility while supporting and developing the nursing team.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead and oversee daily nursing department operations
-
Mentor, develop, and support nursing team members
-
Promote high standards of resident care and clinical outcomes
-
Oversee nursing staffing and scheduling
-
Ensure compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations
-
Maintain and strengthen nursing policies, procedures, and clinical practices
-
Monitor quality assurance initiatives and implement improvement plans
-
Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
-
Identify opportunities to improve clinical and operational performance
-
Work closely with facility leadership to support overall facility success
-
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Previous nursing leadership or management experience

Director of Nursing experience preferred

Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills

Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
