Reports to: Head Football Coach

Status: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting head football coach with Administrative, Fiscal, and Office Management and Organization as well as other responsibilities assigned by the head coach in a Christian University environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative particular to Head Coach:

  • Work closely with Athletic Administration
  • Assist in Grant-In-Aid management
  • Manage Student Interns
  • Point of contact for guests
  • Assist with building and overseeing football program budget
  • Coordinate purchasing process
  • Assist in calendar planning
  • Assist in Administrative correspondence
  • Assist in Administrative phone calls
  • Liaison to Athletic Marketing
  • Liaison to Media Relations

Team:

  • Maintain current player roster
  • Maintain current player personal information
  • Oversee Social Media Directives
  • Player Tickets
  • Training Camp Organization
  • Coordinate Team Travel
  • Operate within the rules as required by the conference and the NCAA
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree

OTHER JOB-RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge and understanding of the sport of football
  • Knowledge of typical computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability deal effectively with people
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to pass the NCAA recruiting test

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the essential duties of the job, the employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions and be physically active. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In exercising these functions the employee must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. regularly. The employee must be able to see objects up close.
