Overview of Position
The Director, Finance is an onsite, embedded finance leader within Device Care Center (DCC) Operations responsible for driving execution discipline, operational financial performance, and strategic outcome influence at the assigned DCC site (Nashville or Lewisville).
Reporting to the VP, Business Finance, this role partners directly with DCC operational leaders to improve cost per unit, throughput productivity, labor and material efficiency, and inventory integrity through data-driven insights, standardized operating rhythms, and continuous improvement.
This role influences strategic outcomes through execution-informed insight and tradeoff recommendations, specific to the DCC location. It ensures those priorities are operationally executable, identifies constraints and risks early, and drives course correction through strong cross-functional leadership.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Operational & Strategic Finance Leadership – 30%
Serve as the primary onsite finance leader embedded within the assigned DCC location (Nashville or Lewisville).
Participate in daily/weekly operating rhythms and leadership forums where priorities, tradeoffs, and execution decisions are made.
Influence strategic outcomes by translating real‑time operational performance into clear recommendations on prioritization, sequencing, and course correction.
Support New Business growth opportunities by providing site-level cost, capacity, and execution feasibility inputs to inform investment decisions.
Performance Management & KPI Operating System – 20%
Monitor production metrics, throughput, and cost pr unit to ensure optimal output and resource utilization.
Establish and monitor KPIs related to DCC efficiency, labor utilization, and material costs; lead structured performance reviews that drive accountability and follow through.
Present site performance updates with actionable insights for operational and finance leadership.
Surface risks and opportunities early, connecting operational performance to strategic objectives.
Develop site-level labor and expense assumptions and inputs with DCC leadership and provide risks/opportunities in the planning and outlook processes.
Unit Economics, Cost Transparency & Decision Support – 15%
Analyze overhead charges and cost allocations with site leadership to ensure transparency and accuracy; review and validate key drivers.
Partner with site leaders to analyze cost per unit trends and identify improvement opportunities.
Lead cost transparency and unit economics analysis with site leadership, including overhead drivers and operational cost levers.
Develop and maintain cost models and scenario analyses to support decisions across speed, cost, quality, and risk.
Inventory Integrity & Operational Finance Governance – 10%
Oversee inventory finance routines required for decision‑making, including inventory accrual inputs and KPI reporting (accuracy, shrink, turnover).
Drive root‑cause resolution of inventory, process, and data discrepancies impacting operational and financial outcomes.
Ensure inventory and finance processes are embedded into daily operations.
Cross‑Functional Execution, Standardization & Improvement – 15%
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between finance, operations, and supply chain teams to execute initiatives and remove barriers.
Lead targeted continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle time, and standardize processes across DCC operations.
Partner with the peer Director (other site) to ensure consistency in metrics, processes, and escalation across locations.
Controls, Risk, Talent & Enablement – 10%
Ensure required controls and governance are embedded in operational processes without disrupting execution, partnering with Controllership and Internal Audit.
Support audit readiness for DCC operations and drive timely remediation of findings.
Lead and develop team members, by setting priorities aligned to execution needs and building capability in decision‑quality insight, not just reporting.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive management experience in operations finance, cost accounting, business analytics, planning, forecasting and strategy, including leading teams.
Significant experience in operations finance / cost accounting / performance management in an operational or inventory-intensive environment.
Manufacturing accounting experience (i.e. plant or business unit) required
Demonstrated ability to work onsite in a fast-paced operating environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive business results
Strong analytical and modeling skills; proficiency with ERP and reporting/analytics tools (e.g., advanced Excel/PowerPoint; Oracle; Power BI/Tableau).
Proven success driving process improvement, standardization, and execution discipline across multiple stakeholders.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
10 + years of progressive management experience in operations finance, cost accounting, business analytics, planning, forecasting and strategy, including leading teams.
Continuous improvement / process excellence experience (Lean/Six Sigma exposure a plus).
Working knowledge of operational controls and audit readiness in partnership with Controllership/Internal Audit.
Advanced analytics capabilities (SQL/Python) a plus.

Pay Range:
$103,800.00 - $173,300.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
