About the RoleThis internal opportunity is for the Director, Finance Master Data Management role within Finance Solutions & Technology (FS&T). This leader will be responsible for leading the global Finance Master Data Management (FMDM) capability and advancing the future-state strategy, operating model, technology enablement, and delivery of trusted finance master data across the enterprise.
In this role, the Director will provide end-to-end leadership across Finance Master Data operations, capability design, transformation deployments, governance execution, data quality management, controls, and organizational readiness. This position will partner closely with Finance Data Strategy, Data Governance, Product Owners, Global Process Owners, Business Unit Finance, Global Services, Technology teams, and enterprise transformation programs to translate Finance strategies into scalable data capabilities, digital solutions, and sustainable operating models.
This leader will be accountable for driving operational excellence, supporting enterprise-wide data strategies, advancing data governance maturity, and enabling successful deployment of future-state finance platforms and processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be accountable for the following areas:
Strategy & Transformation- Lead the global FMDM strategy, operating model, and roadmap aligned to FS&T priorities.
- Drive Finance Master Data readiness and deployment activities across SAP S/4HANA, CFIN, MDG, Transact, Transcend, Osprey, and other enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Partner with Finance Data Strategy, Product Owners, Technology, and Global Process Owners to shape future-state finance data capabilities.
- Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement opportunities across the FMDM landscape.
- Serve as the business capability owner for Finance Master Data platforms, processes, and controls.
- Ensure effective execution of finance data standards, governance policies, stewardship practices, and data quality requirements.
- Provide leadership for solution design, testing, data migration, deployment readiness, and business adoption.
- Partner with Data Governance and Data Quality teams to strengthen data integrity and governance maturity.
- Lead global Finance Master Data operations, ensuring timely, accurate, compliant, and resilient service delivery.
- Maintain a strong SOX and controls environment while driving operational excellence and risk management.
- Establish KPIs, SLAs, quality metrics, and performance measures to monitor organizational effectiveness.
- Ensure business continuity, workforce readiness, and organizational resilience in support of evolving business and transformation needs.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Technology, Enterprise Data, Global Services, and Transformation leaders.
- Influence decisions, manage cross-functional priorities, and represent FMDM in governance and leadership forums.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global organization, building capabilities in data management, governance, transformation, and digital finance.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and continuous-improvement culture aligned with Our Credo.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, Data Management, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in Finance, Finance Data Management, Data Governance, Enterprise Platforms, or Finance Transformation.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience in a global organization.
- Strong knowledge of:
o Finance Master Data Management
o Data Governance and Data Quality
o SAP S/4HANA, CFIN, and MDG
o Financial controls and SOX compliance
o Enterprise Finance transformation programs
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex global environment.
