Overview
We are looking for Director - Software Engineering, to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. Our solutions are built on the Digital Network Architecture, Cloud Native principles and in a Scaled Agile Framework. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
The Role
- Director for managing new product development
- Experience in end-to-end solution and product architecture.
- Formally supervises and coaches multiple software engineering teams of multiple roles and is responsible for planning and business execution of goals and objectives
- Provides strategic leadership related to specific applications and systems, or software-development methodologies
- Understanding of Java, Spring Framework and experience leading multiple teams.
- Excellent Data management skills
- Applied knowledge of AI and scalable implementations is desireable.
- Provide ongoing guidance to teams on career growth, development standards and delivery.
- Cloud (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), DNA ( Digital Native Architecture) experience is desirable.
- Strong experience in Real Time Online System is desirable.
- Coordinate with various groups in MasterCard to ensure success of the projects
- Maintain and present project related metrics reporting for management review
- Lead initiatives for automation, defect metrics and overall quality initiatives
- Handle coordination between teams based in various locations
- Recommend strategic direction and policy changes.
- Advance operational and business concerns or issues relative to future business programs, projects, or enhancements that may affect consistent delivery of quality services.

- Manage 2 - 4 teams (10 - 12 people in each team) from conceptualization to implementation of a new product.
- In depth Experience development applications in Java, Spring Boot
- Expert understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to handle multiple high-priority demands while driving consistent results.
- Effective People and Technology leadership skills.
- Experience in online, real time application development
- Experience in CI/CD
- Involved and spearheaded quality initiatives.
- Experience in PCF, Microservices and DNA is desireable.
- Excellent stakeholder management.
- Excellent in communication.
- Ability to guide people to implement right solution.
