The Director, Data Visualization leads the enterprise data visualization strategy, ensuring that analytics outputs are governed, standardized, and aligned with business priorities. The role focuses on defining and scaling best practices, enabling business self‑service, and ensuring that visualization solutions deliver consistent, trusted insights across the organization.
By establishing governance, performance standards, and AI‑enabled capabilities, this role maximizes the value of enterprise data and drives adoption of analytics solutions.
The Director, Data Visualization is also ultimately accountable for Cytiva Business Intelligence platforms, including architecture, performance, and technical issue resolution.
This position reports to the Director, Analytics and Insights, is part of the Analytics and Insights team, and will be an on-site role in Kraków.
What You Will Do
Define and own the enterprise data visualization strategy, including standards, governance frameworks, and operating models that ensure consistency and scalability across all analytics outputs.
Own BI platform architecture and operations (e.g., Power BI, Qlik), including scalability, reliability, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
Establish and enforce visualization best practices (design, performance, semantic alignment, usability), ensuring all dashboards meet enterprise quality and compliance requirements.
Partner with data engineering and data governance leaders to ensure semantic models, certified datasets, and data access patterns support consistent and trusted reporting.
Define and implement governance processes (e.g., certification, lifecycle management, usage monitoring) to improve transparency, reduce redundancy, and increase platform utilization.
Enable AI‑driven and augmented analytics (e.g., automated insights, natural language interfaces) within visualization platforms to improve decision‑making efficiency.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Proven expertise in BI platforms such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or similar, including platform administration, architecture, and optimization at scale.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, semantic layers, and integration with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, or comparable ecosystems).
Hands-on experience defining and implementing governance frameworks, standards, and operating models for analytics and BI environments.
Demonstrated experience managing BI platform performance, capacity, and cost optimization in high‑volume environments.
Proven track record of improving adoption and standardization of analytics solutions across multiple business domains.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, Azure, Snowflake, or equivalent).
Experience integrating AI/ML outputs or augmented analytics capabilities into BI platforms.
