Director, Commercial Enablement

We're looking for a Director, Commercial Enablement to build and lead our Commercial Enablement function across 37 EMEA markets. Sitting at the heart of our EMEA Merchant organisation, you'll lead a multi-disciplinary pod spanning Commercial Learning & Development, Analytics and Commercial Incentives, equipping our Merchant Sales, Account Management, and Support teams with the insights, capabilities, tools, and incentives they need to execute consistently and deliver exceptional merchant outcomes.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a pragmatic senior operator who thrives on turning commercial strategy into scalable systems — someone who can build high-performing teams, navigate ambiguity, and drive measurable improvements in frontline productivity, training effectiveness, and incentive performance.

Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

Learning & Development: You'll oversee the design and delivery of learning programs that build the skills, knowledge, and confidence Sales, Account Management, and Support teams need to execute consistently across markets — from new hire onboarding and role-based learning paths to manager enablement and targeted capability-building tied to commercial priorities. You'll partner closely with commercial leaders and central People, HR, and L&D teams to ensure programs are practical, measurable, and integrated into the broader company learning agenda.

Commercial Incentives: You'll own the design, rollout, and operation of incentive programs that align frontline behaviour with selection, growth, quality, profitability, and merchant outcome goals — ensuring plans are commercially sound, easy to understand, and operationally scalable. You'll also drive continuous improvement in incentive governance, documentation, controls, dispute resolution, and performance measurement, with accurate tracking and on-time payouts throughout.

Analytics & Reporting: You'll be responsible for providing trusted, actionable performance insights to commercial leaders and frontline teams. You will ensure leaders and teams have access to clear dashboards, validated metrics, consistent definitions, and reporting that helps them identify priority merchants, performance gaps, execution opportunities, and areas requiring intervention. You will partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, Analytics, and business stakeholders to improve data availability, data quality, metric consistency, and reporting adoption.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a seasoned commercial, strategy, operations, or enablement leader with a track record of operating at scale across complex, multi-country markets.

  • 8+ years' experience in strategy consulting, commercial strategy, revenue operations, sales operations, merchant operations, or a related field

  • A track record of leading multi-disciplinary, multi-country teams, ideally spanning analytics, learning & development, program management, and incentive design

  • Strong commercial judgment and a relentless drive to connect enablement work to measurable business outcomes

  • A bias for action — pragmatic, hands-on, and comfortable navigating ambiguity

  • Experience building scalable operating models, processes, governance, and performance management systems

  • A proven ability to design and deliver L&D programs for Sales, Account Management, and Support teams

  • Strong analytical fluency — defining metrics, challenging data quality, and turning insight into action

  • Hands-on experience with incentive programs, sales compensation, variable pay, or other performance-based reward mechanisms

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity and align diverse audiences around clear decisions
