About the Role:
Upgrade is seeking a Director of Auto Capital Markets to lead the development, execution, and scaling of the capital markets infrastructure for our rapidly growing Indirect Auto lending business. Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Capital Markets, this is a high impact role that will lead the launch of Upgrade’s Auto ABS securitization program, optimize warehouse financing across multiple facilities, and build long-term forward flow partnerships. The Director will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to establish a diversified capital strategy in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, launch, and lead Upgrade’s inaugural Auto ABS securitization program, partnering directly with banks, rating agencies, and external counsel
- Strategically manage and optimize multiple Auto warehouse facilities, including draw decisions and operational oversight
- Forecast financing needs and execution strategy across ABS transactions, forward flow partnerships, and warehouse solutions
- Build and expand forward flow programs by onboarding and managing relationships with institutional investors purchasing whole loans
- Negotiate and manage all legal documentation across Auto capital markets transactions, including securitization memoranda, warehouse credit agreements, and forward flow purchase agreements
- Monitor internal credit performance and track market developments including ABS trends, investor demand, and macroeconomic factors
- Support broader Capital Markets strategy across other Upgrade verticals (e.g., personal loans, BNPL, home improvement) as needed
What We Look For:
- 7+ years of experience in Auto Capital Markets, Structured Finance, or Fintech
- Proven track record in whole loan sales, warehouse financing, securitization, and forward flow execution
- Strong understanding of secured assets and structured finance markets
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to lead multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment
