Sedgman is seeking an exceptional executive leader to drive the continued growth and performance of our Business & Project Development function across Western Australia.

This is a critical leadership opportunity for a commercially astute and client-focused professional who understands how to identify market opportunities, build enduring relationships and convert strategy into sustainable business outcomes.

As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the business, strengthening our market presence and ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities across mining, minerals processing and resource infrastructure.

Working closely with leaders across Australia and our global operations, you will help position Sedgman for continued success while ensuring growth is aligned with client value, operational capability and long-term delivery excellence.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead the regional business and project development strategy across Western Australia.
  • Drive revenue growth through disciplined opportunity pursuit, commercial negotiations and contract development.
  • Strengthen executive-level relationships with clients, partners and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and prioritise emerging market opportunities through strategic insight and industry intelligence.
  • Lead the development of high-quality studies, proposals and tenders that align with governance and commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure opportunities are supported by the right technical and project delivery capability.
  • Champion commercial excellence across risk management, cash flow, contractual performance and sustainable growth.
  • Foster a high-performing culture built on accountability, collaboration, innovation and client success.

What We're Looking For

You're a respected and commercially credible industry leader with a track record of building businesses, growing client relationships and securing major project opportunities within the resources sector.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor of Engineering qualification.
  • 15+ years' experience leading client engagement, business development and engineering services within mining, minerals processing or resource infrastructure.
  • Strong experience across EPCM, EPC and project delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated success growing market share and securing major projects within Western Australia.
  • Exceptional leadership capability with experience leading multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including P&L accountability, contract negotiation and governance oversight.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and build long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of Western Australian resource sector dynamics and emerging market opportunities.

Skills Required
