As the Director, Product Management, you will lead the product strategy, roadmap, commercialization, and lifecycle for a portfolio of products within a business unit. You'll work cross-functionally to identify market opportunities, define customer needs, develop business cases for new offerings, and ensure successful product launches. This highly visible leadership role requires balancing strategic vision with operational execution while driving measurable business outcomes, including product adoption, revenue growth, faster time to market, and improved time to revenue.
Responsibilities
- Execute the product strategy and roadmap alignment with the overall business strategy, ensuring products support organizational objectives, customer needs, and growth initiatives.
- Lead and develop a team of Product Managers responsible for product strategy, commercialization, roadmap planning, and lifecycle management.
- Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept and market analysis through launch, enhancement, optimization, and retirement.
- Standardize products and develop reusable capabilities to improve scalability, implementation consistency, and operational efficiency across the product portfolio.
- Develop business cases for new products, enhancements, and investments based on customer needs, market trends, competitive analysis, and financial impact.
- Define target markets, customer segments, value propositions, pricing strategies, packaging, and product positioning to maximize market success and revenue growth.
- Lead commercialization efforts by partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Client Success to develop go-to-market strategies, sales enablement materials, launch readiness plans, and customer adoption programs.
- Partner closely with Technology and Engineering teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery.
- Collaborate with Delivery, Technology, and the Project Management Office (PMO) to improve implementation excellence, reduce implementation timelines, increase scalability, and enhance the customer experience.
- Provide cross-functional leadership across Product, Sales, Technology, Delivery, Marketing, and Client Success to ensure alignment from product strategy through customer implementation and ongoing success.
- Engage directly with customers and key stakeholders to capture the Voice of the Customer (VoC) and translate insights into product innovation, enhancements, and future roadmap priorities.
- Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, customer needs, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and market differentiation.
- Evaluate, establish, and manage strategic technology partnerships that enhance product capabilities, strengthen the company's market position, and support long-term business objectives.
- Evaluate product performance using key business metrics, including revenue growth, product adoption, time to market, and time to revenue, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize product strategy. Present product strategies, business cases, product roadmaps, commercialization plans, and investment recommendations to executive leadership.
- Foster collaboration across business units to ensure product strategies align with enterprise priorities and long-term growth objectives.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve product management processes, governance, execution, and operational excellence.
- Mentor and develop Product Managers while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
