Job Summary:
This senior-level role is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing a diverse range of private credit financing opportunities across the Asia Pacific region. The candidate will leverage their extensive network and deal-making expertise to source transactions, including commercial real estate financing, credit portfolio financings, asset-backed securitization (ABS), and other private debt financings. They will also lead the syndication and distribution of the private credit to the firm's network of institutional investors, such as credit funds and banks.
Key Responsibilities:
Origination:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with credit funds, asset managers, private equity sponsors and other market participants to source a steady pipeline of private credit lending / financing opportunities
- Work closely with product teams to structure and underwrite potential transactions
- Negotiate deal terms and documentation to ensure favorable outcomes for the firm
- Work closely with the product structuring teams to execute on private credit / financing transactions
Distribution:
- Develop distribution / risk defeasance strategy in discussion with originations / structuring desks and Identify suitable institutional investors, including credit funds, asset managers, and bank lenders, to participate in private credit lending / financing deals for SP.
Other Responsibilities:
- Monitor market trends, competition, and regulatory changes impacting the private financing space
- Provide thought leadership and contribute to the firm's strategic decision-making related to the private financing business
- Mentor and develop junior members of the origination and syndication teams
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in private credit / structured finance with a proven track record of originating and syndicating deals in the Asia Pacific region
- Deep network and relationships with key market participants, including credit funds, asset managers an, private equity sponsors
- Demonstrated expertise in structuring and underwriting a variety of private credit instruments, such as commercial real estate financing, credit portfolio financings, and ABS
- Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with institutional investors
- Strong financial modeling and credit analysis capabilities
- Fluency in English and at least one major Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Korean)
This senior-level role requires a seasoned private credit professional with a comprehensive understanding of the Asia Pacific market and the ability to drive the firm's private credit lending / financing origination efforts in the region.
