Join JPMorgan Chase as a Control Manager in the APAC Chief Analytics Office (CAO) to strengthen Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance, operational risk management, and regulatory compliance through best-in-class controls that safeguard the firm’s data and analytics environment.
As a Vice President in the APAC Chief Analytics Office, you will execute and coordinate AI risk and controls activities across APAC, strengthening risk identification and control effectiveness through strong cross-functional partnerships and disciplined delivery.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensure key controls described in relevant AI/ML (Machine Learning) Analytics Standards and Policies are accurately reflected in CAO APAC CORE content; maintain strong working knowledge of CORE platform expectations and inputs.
- Partner with APAC CAO/CDAO stakeholders to understand key AI/ML processes and practices, strengthen risk and control identification, and support control testing execution (performed by the Testing Center of Excellence) and disciplined issue management for any control gaps/breaks.
- Support completion of applicable risk and regulatory assessments (e.g., Operational Risk Summaries, Regulatory Topic Assessments, Residual Risk Reviews), coordinating inputs across Business and Control partners and tracking actions to closure.
- Develop and maintain control management framework documentation (process, risk/control narratives, control design considerations) in partnership with Business stakeholders and Control partners for AI/ML and analytics activities.
- Contribute to the AI/ML Analytics Control Manager community of practice across APAC Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate Functions (CFs) (and where relevant, globally), helping drive consistency on standards updates, practices, common controls, and calibration.
- Review and analyze reporting and key metrics to identify emerging risks and thematic trends; collaborate with stakeholders to improve metric design/collection to monitor standards adherence and enable early risk detection.
- Support CDAO/CAO control management priorities, including preparation and review of materials for regulatory queries, exams, and meetings; coordinate responses with appropriate stakeholders.
- Partner with Line of Defence stakeholders (Legal, Model Risk & Governance, Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit) to support a well-managed control environment and readiness for testing, audits, and regulatory examinations.
- Demonstrate strong personal and professional conduct; build trust and credibility with Business and Control partners.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data and Information Architecture, or a related field
- Atleast 8 years experience with AI/ML risk management practices, including risks related to model techniques, Generative AI, agentic workflows, and AI/ML development lifecycle controls.
- Financial services experience in controls, information security, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance; strong understanding of the three lines of defence model.
- Solid understanding of Compliance and Operational Risk Management frameworks, including risk assessment and controls oversight concepts.
- Sound judgment in risk assessment, work prioritization, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead/work across cross-functional initiatives to analyze issues, design improvements, and implement best practices (with appropriate VP-level supervision/escalation).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex information and produce clear, actionable outputs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain business issues, risks, and controls clearly to diverse stakeholders.

- Business acumen and familiarity with relevant regulations and supervisory expectations related to analytics/AI risk and governance.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS or similar) are desirable.
