Responsabilités
Définir, en partenariat avec le directeur créatif, la vision du Gameplay qui saura exploiter les piliers du projet.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les game designers et les autres directeurs du projet pour affiner et améliorer les systèmes de jeu, notamment les 3Cs, le combat, l'intelligence artificielle, les armes, les talents de personnage, la progression en puissance et les interactions environnementales.
Communiquer la direction design de façon claire et concise à tous les membres de l’équipe du projet ainsi qu’à ses différents partenaires.
Donner du feedback clair à l’équipe afin d’encourager une culture de qualité et d’imputabilité.
Contribuer activement au développement du projet en travaillant directement dans l’engin.
Collaborer avec le leadership du projet à établir le scope du projet et ses priorités.
Guider, inspirer et supporter des équipes multidisciplinaires tout au long du projet.
Qualifications
Expérience
15 ans d'expérience en tant que concepteur.trice dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo.
Avoir livré plusieurs titres multiplateformes de la préconception à la certification, dont certains en position de leadership.
Expérience dans Unreal 4 ou 5
Expert en jeux d’action
Connaissance approfondie des jeux d'action, en particulier des jeux de tir (shooters).
Capacité à analyser et à expliquer clairement les mécaniques complexes, les systèmes et les boucles de jeu.
Capacité à établir les standards de qualité et la direction de la conception du projet.
Leader au service de l'équipe
Soutient l'équipe de conception en éliminant activement les obstacles liés à la production, est capable de trancher pour débloquer l’équipe.
Encourage l'autonomie et fait confiance à l'expertise des concepteurs seniors.
Maintient un style de gestion horizontal et collaboratif et non une approche top-down.
Approche Hands-on
Désire continuer à prendre directement en charge des tâches de conception spécifiques.
Construit, itère et peaufine les fonctionnalités et les ensembles de données directement dans le moteur de jeu.
Autres exigences
Parfaitement bilingue (maîtrise du français et de l'anglais).
- Être disposé·e et en mesure de se rendre au studio de Montréal ou de Québec.

What We Are Looking For
Define the gameplay vision in partnership with the Creative Director to leverage the project's core pillars.
Responsibilities
Define the gameplay vision in partnership with the Creative Director to leverage the project's core pillars.
Work closely with game designers and other project directors to refine and improve game systems, including 3Cs, combat, artificial intelligence, weapons, character skills, power growth and environmental interactions.
Communicate the design direction clearly and concisely to all project team members and partners.
Provide clear feedback to the team to foster a culture of quality and accountability.
Actively contribute to the project's development by working directly in-engine.
Collaborate with project leadership to establish the project scope and priorities.
Guide, inspire, and support multidisciplinary teams throughout the project.
Qualifications
Experience
15 years of experience as a designer in the video game industry.
Shipped multiple multiplatform titles from pre-production to certification, including in leadership roles.
Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
Action Games Expert
Deep knowledge of action games, particularly shooters.
Can clearly analyse and articulate complex mechanics, systems, and game loops.
Sets the project's quality standard and a clear-cut design direction.
Servant-Leader Mindset
Supports the design team by actively removing production roadblocks, including making calls to keep the team moving forward.
Encourages autonomy and trusts the expertise of senior designers.
Maintains a flat, collaborative management style rather than top-down direction.
Hands-on Approach
Desires to maintain direct ownership of specific design tasks.
Builds, iterates, and polishes features and data sets directly in-engine.
Other Requirements
Fully bilingual (fluent in both French and English).
