Position Summary
The Solution Architect – MyRSM designs microservice and API architectures for RSM's custom-built client portal platform. This role defines coding standards, domain-driven design boundaries, and event-driven patterns via Azure Service Bus, while overseeing React frontend and .NET/Python backend architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business and product requirements into end-to-end solution designs for the MyRSM platform spanning multiple frontend and backend services.
- Design microservice and API architecture for custom-built solutions; define service boundaries using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices across frontend (React) and backend (.NET / Python) teams.
- Architect event-driven integration patterns using Azure Service Bus; define message schemas, topic/subscription models, and error handling strategies.
- Lead architecture reviews for new features, technical initiatives, and third-party integrations.
- Ensure non-functional requirements—security, scalability, resiliency, observability—are embedded into all solution designs.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineering leads to refine technical roadmaps.
- Produce and maintain architecture decision records (ADRs), high-level design (HLD) documents, and API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Provide technical mentorship to development teams and conduct design/code reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7 to 10 years of software engineering or architecture experience with at least 3 years in a solution architect role.
- Education -Bachelor's & above.
- Strong proficiency in designing microservices architectures and RESTful / GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience with React (frontend architecture) and .NET and/or Python (backend services).
- Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and distributed systems patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with OpenID Connect / OAuth 2.0 for authentication and authorization in multi-tenant SaaS environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Professional services or B2B SaaS product experience is advantageous.
