The Role
Description

Join SOPHiA GENETICS—where data meets purpose—as a Digital Products Intern within our dynamic Business Innovation and Platform Product Management team.  

This is your opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company shaping the future of precision medicine through advanced digital solutions. You’ll work directly with the Platform Product Manager to help define and develop strategic features at the intersection of product strategy, data insights, and AI innovation—all with the goal of improving healthcare outcomes around the world. 

You will be involved in: 

Shaping AI-powered data extraction tools 

  • Collaborate on the design and evaluation of features that automatically extract clinical insights from complex data sources. 
  • Evaluate output from existing solutions for data extraction leveraging on Natural Language Processing (NLP); perform data mapping activities across different data sets, comparing structure, quality, and relevance. 
  • Analyze user needs and workflow challenges to inform smarter, more intuitive product experiences and identify the best digital product fit.  
  • Contribute to defining success metrics and assist in validating feature performance through testing and feedback. 

Supporting product strategy and lifecycle activities 

  • Assist in shaping new digital product concepts and enhancing existing ones by aligning with business and user needs. 
  • Analyze and map current workflows from both extern users (customers) and internal (SOPHiA GENETICS) perspective to identify challenges, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, and propose optimized solutions for rapid implementation. 
  • Draft key product documents such as internal training presentations and external communications. 
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Science, Tech & IT to turn strategic ideas into practical deliverables. 

Driving data-informed decisions 

  • Conduct analyses and create clear, insightful reports to support strategic discussions and decision-making. 
  • Present findings that help refine our products and ultimately contribute to better patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor in Economics, Business, Biology or related fields 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel 
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) 
  • Organizational skills 
  • Proactivity 
  • Problem-solving skills
