Job Description

As an integral member of Harvard Law School community, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing integrated digital marketing campaigns that drive awareness, generate qualified leads, and support enrollment across Harvard Law School's portfolio of professional and online education offerings.   

Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Strategy and Marketing in the Office of Communications, with a dotted line to the Executive Director of Harvard Law School Online, the Digital Marketing Manager works across marketing, communications, and program teams to connect strategy, creative execution, and performance improvement.  

A strong candidate is both strategic and hands-on—comfortable building campaigns, writing persuasive marketing copy, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates. 

As a Digital Marketing Manager you will: 

  • Develop and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns that support enrollment and audience growth across Harvard Law School’s professional and online education offerings.  
  • Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns across search engines, social media, display, and other digital channels, recommending audience targeting, bidding strategies, channel mix, and budget allocation to maximize performance and return on investment.  
  • Develop strategies that guide prospective learners through the enrollment funnel, including lead-nurturing campaigns designed to increase engagement and inquiry-to-enrollment conversion rates.  
  • Create persuasive, audience-focused copy and messaging for advertisements, landing pages, email communications, and other digital content, collaborating with colleagues to improve campaign landing pages, lead-capture forms, and the overall user experience.  
  • Establish key performance indicators and use platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager to monitor campaign effectiveness, analyze user behavior, identify trends, and recommend improvements.  
  • Conduct A/B testing of creative, messaging, audience targeting, landing pages, and campaign strategies; prepare regular reports and dashboards that communicate performance, return on investment, and actionable recommendations.  
  • Partner with marketing, communications, design, and program colleagues to coordinate campaign assets, timelines, production, and launches; manage vendors as needed; maintain campaign documentation and performance records. 
  • Monitor audience behavior, competitor activity, emerging platforms, and market trends to identify opportunities for expanding reach and improving results. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressive sales marketing experience. Advanced knowledge of Sales and Marketing as well as digital and multimedia experience.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for people who have: 

  • Demonstrated expertise with paid search, paid social, display advertising, and email marketing across multiple digital platforms. 
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and marketing automation or CRM platforms. 
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write persuasive, audience-focused marketing content for digital channels. 
  • Experience developing and interpreting marketing analytics, conversion metrics, and campaign reporting. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects; exceptional attention to detail; and a collaborative working style.

Work Format Details

This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
