The Digital Marketing Leader, Marketing Technology will lead a team to evolve the marketing technology stack for the Trane Technologies enterprise. This strategic leader will bridge business strategy, data architecture, and emerging technologies—spearheading the pragmatic adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to unlock accelerated commercial growth and elevate customer experiences across our global brands..   


As a key member of the Digital Marketing Leadership Team, you will foster high-impact partnerships with others in IT, business unit marketing, customer experience, product management and sales, among others as needed to recommend, implement and optimize marketing technologies and solutions.


What you will do:

As our enterprise martech champion, you will lead a team of experienced digital marketers to unite strategic vision with operational execution, leveraging strong business acumen and technical depth to accelerate stack maturity and adoption.

  • Strategic Roadmapping & AI-Driven Growth Pair commercial acumen and a growth mindset with strategic planning to keep the enterprise ahead of the curve:
    • Collaborate closely with business unit marketing leaders to align marketing objectives, define tech stack strategy, and deliver multi-year roadmaps that satisfy strategic and tactical business goals.
    • Own and elevate marketing technology stack maturity and adoption—setting the vision from discovery through enablement and championing internal technology training.
    • Evaluate and implement emerging martech trends and modern capabilities, including generative and predictive AI tools (e.g., dynamic personalization, automated content workflows, and intelligent lead scoring).
    • Identify time-consuming, inefficient manual processes and develop robust, automated solutions to streamline operations and scale marketing impact.
  • Platform Execution, Architecture & Governance Apply systems development planning, technical agility, and cross-functional delivery to execute martech solutions:
    • Direct end-to-end projects to evaluate, build, mature, and deploy new marketing platforms—including but not limited to Adobe and Salesforce ecosystems.
    • Partner with developers, enterprise project managers, and external agency/software partners to drive scope, author clear business requirements documentation, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
    • Apply a functional understanding of relational databases, API-first integrations, and data flows to ensure seamless connectivity between marketing automation, CRM, and customer data platforms.
    • Drive platform governance, uptime, and operational standard work while strictly reinforcing enterprise IT, data security, and customer privacy guidelines.
  • Consultative Leadership, Enablement & Communication Combine consultative problem-solving with transparent communication to foster adoption and talent development:
    • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and career development to a high-performing team of digital marketing and platform professionals.
    • Act as an inquisitive, consultative advisor across marketing and technical disciplines, diagnosing business challenges and engineering measurable, value-driven solutions.
    • Translate complex data, system architectures, and AI-enabled insights into plain-language business outcomes for cross-functional stakeholders, non-technical partners, and executive leadership.
    • Champion change management across the enterprise, instilling standard work, shared best practices, and a culture of continuous digital learning.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 10 years of marketing or related experience
  • Exceptional people and communication skills, creativity and team leadership
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Marketing Technology platforms and development management
  • 5+ years relevant technical and project management experience
  • Experience supporting multiple projects and work-streams simultaneously and balancing priorities for successful outcomes
  • Experience developing and executing marketing technology strategies and roadmaps 
  • Experience using marketing automation and CRM platforms and leading integration projects
  • Experience with Adobe and Salesforce is preferred
  • A track record of delivering outstanding tangible results in a high performance environment
  • Familiarity with B2B industrial or manufacturing commercial operating models
  • Experience navigating matrixed organizations and successfully leading change management at enterprise scale
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
  • It is preferred that the individual who takes this role be located near one of our large offices, such as Davidson, NC or St. Paul, MN, but the Hiring Team will consider additional placement locations. In this role you will be required to work a hybrid work arrangement.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$146,521.66 - $204,609.99
