DevOps Engineer (Python Expertise)

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and manage ThousandEyes or Grafana monitoring tools across various network segments.
• Develop and maintain Selenium scripts for end-to-end transaction monitoring.
• Analyze network performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with network, IT, and application teams to enhance network visibility and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Design custom alerts and dashboards within ThousandEyes and Grafana for real-time network intelligence.
• Conduct root cause analysis of network incidents and provide actionable insights for resolution.
• Address vulnerabilities associated with any of our monitoring tools.
• Stay updated with the latest network technologies and ThousandEyes and Grafana features to continuously improve our network monitoring capabilities.
• Work with teams to package and deploy ThousandEyes endpoint software to PC and MAC workstations including managing licensing.

Skill and Qualifications

• Proficiency in scripting for automation and monitoring, specifically with Selenium, JavaScript, and Python.
• Extensive experience with ThousandEyes, Grafana or similar network monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of internet protocols, routing, and BGP.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of API integrations for custom tooling and automation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address network issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work across different teams and articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Management experience with Active Directory, Modern Management for PC, and MAC platform management are desired.
