DevOps Engineer - Mid

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Cogility Software is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at our Irvine, CA office. In this role, you will collaborate to design, configure, deploy, and maintain our innovative product, Cogynt, throughout its lifecycle. 

We are looking for a talented and experienced Mid-level DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Kubernetes and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. You will help architect, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes-based solutions. Ideal candidates will have experience in compliance, cloud cost optimization, automation, and SRE methodologies. 
 
Key responsibilities include: 

• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for provisioning and configuration. 
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines into the software development lifecycle. 
• Participate in the design and implementation of containerization solutions using Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. 
• Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and performance. 
• Assist in the implementation of security measures such as access controls, encryption, and compliance audits. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis as necessary. 
• Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks. 
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in DevOps methodologies and technologies. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Kubernetes clusters and related tools. 
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices. 
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and ensure they are met in the Kubernetes infrastructure. 
• Document infrastructure and procedures for future reference. 
• Learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed. 
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and ensure they are met in the Kubernetes infrastructure. 
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. 

If you are in the Irvine, CA area, then it will be a hybrid position. You must be able to come into the Irvine, CA office 2 days a week. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Must have a minimum of 4+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree, technical certification or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters in a production environment 
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
• Proficiency and experience in the following:
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
  • Scripting (Bash, GoLang, Python)
  • Cloud Platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) 
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • CICD pipeline (GitHub Action, CodePipeline)
  • Logging and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus) 
  • Networking (Security, Firewalls, Routing) 
  • Version control (GitHub)
• Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance
