ING is looking for an experienced DevOps engineer with a strong focus on business support as well as back-end technology, who will maintain and improve ING’s Horizon sprinters trading platform. You are an innovative and creative engineer with modern day engineering skills who is eager to learn.
The team
The Horizon platform facilitates market making for sprinters and structured products. It connects ING with multiple exchanges and platforms using real-time data. The team’s primary goal is to support the business and deliver scalable and robust IT solutions. The team is responsible for the full technology stack, like (automated) testing, (automated) deployment, Problem and Incident management, IT Risk and the development of algorithms and scripts.
Roles and responsibilities
- You are a highly motivated engineer who likes to work in an international multidisciplinary team of engineers and business colleagues.
- You are eager to learn and have a take it and make it mentality. Next to your work in the team, you also like to contribute to the mastery of other engineers and improve the way of work within ING.
- You are a competent full-stack engineer with a focus on both business as well as information technology.
- Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious, will keep learning and will take on responsibility.
How to succeed
You have great analytical skills and conceptual understanding. You quickly understand new technical and non-technical concepts and you have a strong interest in the latest trends. You have strong communication skills and your English in speaking and writing is fluent. You are a team player who likes to join the social events of the squad and ING organisation.
You have:
- a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science.
- 3 to 5 years of software support experience, preferably in supporting highly scalable, secure and high-performance applications.
- experience in at least one programming language like Python, C# or Java. Scala knowledge is a plus.
- good knowledge and understanding of MS Windows and RHEL.
- a good understanding of continuous integration tools such as GIT and Azure.
- strong communication skills.
- experience using Agile Scrum.
