Job Description
The DevOps I Engineer is responsible for designing, improving and supporting a variety of technology solutions and systems built upon proprietary and third-party technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role with oversight.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging and deployment processes.
- Implement automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, monitoring.
- Utilize a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.
- Collaborate with and seek guidance from DevOps Team Lead and other teammates, as needed.
- Implement the identified security and vulnerability remediations, as identified by DevOps Team Lead position.
- Manage and implement the following company tools, solutions and platforms:

CI/CD solutions using tools such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Git, etc.

Platforms using IaC tools like CloudFormation and Puppet.

Monitoring platforms like Splunk, Datadog, and CloudWatch.

Automation scripts using Bash, Python, etc.

- Participate in on-call rotations to triage, troubleshoot and/or resolve critical production issues and problems of varying scope and complexity.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and two (2) years’ experience demonstrated success in a DevOps or a Systems Administration role.
- Knowledge of deployment/configuration management tools like Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Previous experience working with Cloud hosting technology; Amazon Web Services, preferred.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure and application hosting.
- Ability to embrace a fast-paced, team environment.
